HAITI MISSION FOUNDATION MEDICAL MISSION TRIPS
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, whose people struggle with the basic needs of clean water, food, shelter and medical care. In 1985, the Tovar Medical Clinic was opened by the Haiti Mission Foundation to serve the rural population of Grison Garde, with a population of about 60,000. During the pandemic, we have been supporting the mission through donations and a team of parishioners has been involved in installing solar panels on the hospital and schools. If you would like to find out how you can help, please email Ron Jenkins at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Each year, travelers from Christ Church go to San Pedro Sula, Honduras to stay at Our Little Roses girl’s home dedicated to rescuing the girl child in Honduras from situations of risk. We also spend time working alongside members of San Jose de la Montana Episcopal Church. This dual focus mission trip allows any level of skill or ability to find a mission fit- from working on a building project to playing jump rope in the evenings. In 2020, missioners left Honduras on March 15 in the beginning of the pandemic. Since then, all transportation shut down, many people lost their jobs and income and people in our sister church contracted COVID. We used funds donated to the CEC COVID Fund to help distribute food, bring medical workers to the church area and provide transportation for the Rector, Revda. Rose Angelicá to get to the church. Please keep our sister church in your prayers as we walk together as two churches made one in Christ.
