A Note from Our Senior Warden

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

We are blessed to have a God who understands our fears and our hopes.  Jesus often said to his followers “fear not, for I am with you” and the psalmist writes

Our soul waits for the Lord;
    he is our help and shield.
Our heart is glad in him,
    because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
    even as we hope in you. (Psalm 33:20-22)

We are fortunate to have church leadership, clergy and staff, that fully embraces this hope and, as has been shown over the past several days, cares deeply about all of us and our larger community.  We realize that many needs continue even as we are unable to come together to worship.

Our continued financial support is essential to serving the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the parish and our community.  I realize that recent economic conditions affect us in different ways, including both loss of income and loss of savings but, for those who can, please continue to support the work of the church through your contributions.  This is a time to take seriously the words of 2 Corinthians 8:15: ““The one who had much did not have too much, and the one who had little did not have too little.”

Whether you mail your offering, contribute online (, or set up an automatic bank draft, please continue to give.

Blessings to each of you as we continue to care for each other and demonstrate the love of Christ,

Mike Smith

Senior Warden
